The black internal finish gives the IS300 a cleaner, more modern look without relying on a heavily tinted outer lens. The clear lens allows the projector and halo design to remain visible while the darker background adds contrast to the front end.

Xtreme LED Halo Rings

The integrated LED halos create a distinctive illuminated ring around the projector area. Depending on the supplied wiring arrangement, the halos may be connected to the parking-light circuit, accessory power or another approved lighting circuit.

Halo installation may require additional electrical work even when the housing itself uses factory-style mounting points. Use weather-sealed connectors, proper terminals and protected wiring rather than twisting wires together and trusting electrical tape with your life choices.

Projector Headlight Design

Projector optics use a shaped reflector, lens and cutoff shield to control the main beam. When the bulb is correctly matched and the assembly is properly aimed, the design can provide a more defined cutoff than a conventional open reflector.

Bulb quality, installation position and headlight aim still determine how well the system works on the road. A projector housing does not automatically guarantee better visibility simply because it looks expensive while parked.

Important Factory HID and Bulb Notice

The listing states that HID kits are not included. Before purchasing, determine whether the vehicle currently uses factory HID/Xenon equipment or another headlight configuration.

Installation Overview

The housings are designed to mount in the factory locations, but installation instructions are not included and professional installation is recommended.

A typical installation involves:

1. Disconnecting the negative battery terminal.
2. Removing the required grille, bumper and upper trim components.
3. Disconnecting the factory lighting harness.
4. Removing the original headlight assemblies.
5. Comparing all mounting tabs and connectors.
6. Installing compatible bulbs and required lighting hardware.
7. Connecting the halo wiring through a protected circuit.
8. Testing high beam, low beam, turn signal and halo operation.
9. Aligning the housings with the hood, fenders and bumper.
10. Reinstalling the removed exterior components.
11. Aiming both projector beams.

Test every function before reinstalling the bumper. Discovering a reversed connector after the last plastic clip goes in is how a one-hour job develops a sequel.

Headlight Aiming Is Required

Projector assemblies must be aimed after installation. An incorrect vertical adjustment can reduce road visibility or place the cutoff directly into oncoming traffic.

Moisture and Seal Inspection

Before installation, inspect:

• Lens-to-housing seams
• Rear bulb covers
• Wiring grommets
• Housing vents
• Connector seals
• Mounting tabs

Make sure every rear opening is sealed after the bulbs are installed. Persistent condensation or standing water indicates a sealing or ventilation problem that should be corrected immediately.

DOT and SAE Compliance

AmeriLite states that these assemblies meet or exceed applicable U.S. and Canadian DOT and SAE requirements. Confirm that the delivered housings carry the required permanent compliance markings before installation.

The presence of a clear lens, amber reflector or factory-style connector alone does not establish compliance. Avoid using non-approved bulbs or HID components that could alter the certified beam pattern.
