The whiter beam can make reflective road signs, lane markings and roadside objects appear more distinct than they do under a conventional yellowish halogen bulb. SYLVANIA positions the H11 SilverStar Ultra above its Basic, XtraVision and standard SilverStar products for overall halogen visibility.
This remains a halogen bulb, so it installs without LED drivers, HID ballasts, cooling fans or bulb-out modules.
Whiter Light Without an LED Conversion
The tri-band coating modifies the light color while the engineered filament and halogen gas mixture support down-road performance. This provides a more modern appearance without changing the type of light source for which the compatible housing was designed.

Replace H11 Bulbs in Pairs

Installation Tips
- Switch off the lights and allow the existing bulbs to cool.
- Remove the rear housing cover or required access panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release or rotate the original bulb as directed by the manufacturer.
- Remove the bulb without damaging the housing seal.
- Hold the new bulb only by its plastic base.
- Align the locating tabs and secure the bulb.
- Reconnect the wiring and reinstall the cover.
- Test the lights and confirm proper headlight aim.
Never touch the glass capsule with bare fingers. Oil transferred from skin can create a hot spot and shorten bulb life. Clean accidental contact with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth before installation.
Performance and Service-Life Considerations
