Four-Ply Reinforced Silicone
Mishimoto constructs the hoses from high-grade, four-ply silicone with embedded heat-resistant fibers.
The reinforced construction provides increased resistance to cooling-system pressure, engine heat and repeated temperature cycles compared with deteriorated factory rubber hoses.

Why Replace the Factory Titan Hoses?
Original rubber coolant hoses deteriorate from age, engine movement, chemical exposure and constant heating and cooling.
Common signs of hose failure include:
- Cracks near a connection
- Swollen or ballooned sections
- Coolant residue around a clamp
- Unusually soft rubber
- A hose that has become hard or brittle
- Oil contamination
- Abrasion against another component
- Coolant odor after driving
- Unexplained coolant loss

A hose may also begin separating internally without obvious external damage. Internal collapse can restrict coolant flow, particularly when engine speed or cooling demand increases.
Radiator and Heater Hoses Age Together
Radiator hoses receive most of the attention because they are easy to see. Heater hoses are located farther inside the engine compartment and can remain ignored until coolant starts leaking somewhere considerably less accessible.
Replacing the radiator and heater hoses together provides a more complete cooling-system refresh. This is particularly useful on an older Titan with unknown maintenance history or original engine-bay rubber components.
The comprehensive kit also avoids surrounding one new radiator hose with several old hoses that have already endured the same mileage and heat cycles.
Installation Overview
Never open the cooling system while the engine is hot. Pressurized coolant and steam can cause severe burns.
Basic installation steps include:
- Allow the engine to cool completely.
- Drain the coolant into a suitable container.
- Remove the original radiator and heater hoses.
- Compare each replacement hose with the original component.
- Inspect the radiator necks and engine fittings.
- Clean corrosion and coolant residue from each connection.
- Install the Mishimoto hoses without twisting or stretching them.
- Position each clamp behind the raised bead on its fitting.
- Refill the system with the correct coolant mixture.
- Bleed trapped air according to the factory procedure.
- Bring the engine to operating temperature.
- Inspect every connection for leaks.
After the engine cools, recheck the coolant level and clamp position. Inspect the system again after several complete heat cycles.
Inspect the Rest of the Cooling System
New hoses cannot compensate for a failing water pump, clogged radiator or damaged thermostat.
While the cooling system is drained, inspect:
- Radiator tanks and hose necks
- Radiator cap
- Coolant reservoir
- Water pump and weep hole
- Thermostat and housing
- Heater-core connections
- Cooling fan and fan clutch
- Accessory drive belt
- Coolant condition
- Visible engine seals
If the existing coolant contains oil, heavy corrosion or unexplained debris, diagnose the contamination before installing new hoses.
