I installed this 12 V six-piece RGB LED underglow kit on my car, and overall I’m quite pleased with how it looks and performs—though there are a few things to consider.What I like:• The ambient glow effect is impressive. The six-piece setup provides nice coverage under the chassis of my car (and I imagine it would work well on SUVs or trucks too). The RGB color options are vivid and the modes that sync to music add fun flair.• Having turn-signal integration is a smart feature—it makes the lighting standout more uniquely and gives a practical function (for example, switching to yellow/orange when the indicator is used).• The mobile app control is a big plus. Being able to change colors, brightness, patterns, and sync to music from my phone makes the system very flexible and customizable.• The build appears decent for the price. The strips are reasonably slender and fit under the car without too much obstruction, and the wiring seemed manageable.Where it isn’t perfect:• Installation takes some work. Getting the strips positioned evenly, routing the wiring under the car, mounting securely and ensuring a clean look takes time. If you’re not comfortable with under-car wiring, it might be a bit of an effort.• Durability under tough conditions could be better. Since the strips sit underneath the car, they’re exposed to road debris, water, salt, etc. The kit I used claims water resistance but I still proofed the wiring and mounting extra to feel confident.• The turn-signal integration and app-sync features rely on the wiring being done properly, and the user manual was somewhat basic in explaining the steps. Some trial and error was needed to make the colors sync exactly the way I wanted.• Power draw and wiring: Because the kit is 12 V and uses six strips, you’ll want to ensure your vehicle’s wiring and fuse setup can handle it safely—and it adds a little complexity compared to simpler lighting kits.Bottom line:If you’re looking to upgrade the look of your car, SUV, or truck and you’re comfortable with DIY installation (or have a shop install it), the kit delivers strong visual impact, customizable ambient lighting, and fun extras like app control and music sync. Just be prepared for the installation process and extra steps to ensure durability and proper mounting. Good value, stylish results—but not entirely effortless.

This is a nice setup. Can be all done externally.It has a remote to control it.Or you can use QR code to do it with your phone.Install took about 4 hours.Kind of nifty that you can do power through your turn signal so they’d light up with that or just straight power. Connections are solid in between each light. Waterproof yes, you do want to use the sticky that comes on the back side of the LEDs but you also want to use the brackets to hold them in place cuz stickiness fails 😉
