1999 Mazda Protege Mass Air Flow Sensor
This is a completely re-manufactured and reconditioned mass air flow sensor for a 1999 Mazda Protege. Manufactured for the 1.8 liter engine, this mass air flow sensor is a direct replacement unit. Replacing this MAF is easy when you use our How To Guide at My Pro Street.
The mass air flow sensor is a complete housing replacement for your Protege. It's made to read the airflow incoming into your engine, and relay the output voltage to your Mazda ECU. Your Mazda computer will use this information to properly deliver the right amount of fuel to your 1.8 liter engine.
This MAF sensor is mounted to the back of your air filter housing. It's in place and put inline of your intake tract and it's an essential part of your Mazda Protege. There are 2 mounting screws that hold this MAF sensor in place and it's connected to the intake piping by way of worm clamps.
